Last updated: October 5, 2023

Biokit Inc. (“Biokit,” “Company”), and any present or future affiliated or related application, website, or company (collectively “Biokit,” “us,” or “we”), is committed to the privacy of individuals and businesses who visit our website (“Biokit.io,” “website,” “Site”). This Privacy Policy outlines our data collection and usage practices. We may amend this privacy policy in the future at our sole discretion. By using or accessing this Site or any application, product, website, tool, and/or service from Biokit, you acknowledge and agree to this privacy policy.

Information We Collect

When using the Site, to utilize some of the services and/or features, you may be asked to provide, or you may choose to upload, certain personally identifiable information about yourself (“Personal Information”) such as your email address, name, phone number, year of birth, social media profiles, interests, or other information. We ask that you not send us, and you do not disclose, any sensitive personal data (e.g., social security numbers, information related to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion or other beliefs, health, biometrics or genetic characteristics, criminal background or trade union membership). If you do, you consent to our processing and use of such sensitive personal data in accordance with this Policy.

Biokit utilizes YouTube API Services to provide real-time statistics and data regarding your account. When you authorize Biokit to access your YouTube account (referred to as "connecting your YouTube account"), you acknowledge Biokit's Privacy Policy. It's important to note that this Privacy Policy is distinct from the Google Privacy Policy, which may also apply. We gather and access various statistics from YouTube, including, but not limited to, your subscriber count, video views, likes, comments, thumbnails, and audience demographics data. This information enhances the functionality of Biokit, such as displaying it on your profile and improving personalization. You have the option to revoke Biokit's access to this data at any time through the Google security settings page. If you have any inquiries or concerns about our privacy practices, please don't hesitate to contact Biokit at support@biokit.io.

This privacy policy does not apply to the privacy practices of third parties—including but not limited to Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, or Instagram—and including but not limited to any third party websites, services, applications, online resources to which this Site may link or otherwise reference (collectively “Third Party Services”) that you may access through 1stCollab. For example, 1stCollab utilizes the Instagram API, and you are agreeing to be bound by the Instagram Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and all other applicable policies from Instagram. We take no responsibility for the content or privacy practices of any Third Party Service.

Our login and profile creation process enables you to link Third Party Services to your Biokit account. For instance, you can connect your account with Third Party Services like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube. This streamlines the process, saves you time, and ensures a seamless experience with Biokit. By granting us access to your Third Party Services accounts, you acknowledge that we may collect specific information from these accounts. You also grant us the authority to retrieve and use certain information from your Third Party Services account, including but not limited to your name, email address, created media, engagement data, and more, at our discretion. It's important to note that we are not responsible for the public information you choose to make available on your social media profiles.

Apart from social data, Biokit may also gather non-personally identifiable information, including but not limited to IP host addresses, viewed pages, browser types, and other data. We may aggregate any Personal Information we collect in a way that doesn't identify any specific individual. Additionally, we may collect navigational information, such as clicked links. For instance, we might utilize Google Analytics to gain better insights and enhance the Biokit platform. It's important to note that we do not share your personal information with any third parties. However, we may aggregate this data for research, presentations, or demonstration purposes.

We also utilize cookies to monitor your activities on the Biokit website, improving your overall experience. Cookies are used to store your account information and password securely. If you prefer to disable these cookies, you can usually find guidance on how to do so in the "help" section of your browser's toolbar. However, please be aware that if you choose not to accept our cookies, it may result in some inconvenience when using Biokit. For instance, you might need to log in every time you access Biokit.

We also make use of "clickstream data," which is a digital trail of information left behind during each visit to a website and can be collected and stored by the website's server. This data provides insights into the type of computer and browsing software you use, as well as the website address from which you arrived at Biokit. We may gather and analyze this data in an anonymous and aggregate manner to better understand how visitors navigate our website. This helps us improve the overall user experience without intentionally including any Personal Information in the analysis.

Lastly, we may employ pixel tags, also referred to as web beacons, on the Biokit website to monitor user interactions with our sites and applications. Pixel tags help us gauge the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns and generate statistics related to the usage of our services. For instance, a Facebook pixel can provide insights into the performance of an Instagram advertising campaign.
